My art-making process is similar to writing music — tone on tone, creating harmony. Creating melodic contours with shapes, marks and lines. Striving to paint emotion, I want to create the awe, the wonder, the experience we feel in nature, in music, in special life moments. That feeling that gives us pause.

There is a dialogue that develops between myself and the painting. As the layers of paint accumulate, so does the meaning. Connections flow and coalesce into magical and mysterious combinations. These actions renew my spirit in the act of creation.

I have been a full-time visual artist since 2012.
